Miyawaki Forest

Project Overview

Started in : March 2024

Description

At the Malpani Smriti Center, we are deeply proud to share the progress of our Miyawaki Forest, a project nurtured in collaboration with our dedicated partners at Snehalaya.

It has now been one year since this forest was planted, and the transformation has been nothing short of incredible. The trees—now 7 to 8 feet tall—are flourishing, and vibrant flowers have begun to bloom, breathing life into the landscape. 🌼

To maintain the forest’s vitality:

  • Grass is trimmed daily, ensuring a clean and healthy environment.
  • Bamboo supports and ropes are carefully placed for younger trees that need guidance and strength.
  • With the summer sun shining intensely, watering is carried out every morning and evening.
  • Our team also tends to the drip irrigation system, repairing it as needed to ensure consistent hydration.

This growing forest stands as a living tribute to the legacy of Drs. Narayan and Chandrakala Malpani—an oasis of life, learning, and environmental stewardship.
